Vivaciously vile vixen of virtue

From one of my favourite movies :)

V for Vendetta!

V: VoilĂ ! In view, a humble vaudevillian veteran, cast vicariously as both victim and villian by the vicissitudes of Fate. This visage, no mere veneer of vanity, is a vestige of the vox populi, now vacant, vanished. However, this valorous visitation of a by-gone vexation, stands vivified and has vowed to vanquish these venal and virulent vermin vanguarding vice and vouchsafing the violently vicious and voracious violation of volition. (he carves a "V" into a sign) The only verdict is vengence; a vendetta, held as a votive, not in vain, for the value and veracity of such shall one day vindicate the vigilant and the virtuous. (giggles) Verily, this vichyssoise of verbiage veers most verbose, so let me simply add that it is my very good honor to meet you and you may call me V.
Evey: Are you like a crazy person?
V: I'm quite sure they will say so.

Toronto Symphony

Went to watch the Toronto Symphony last night ... it was amaaazing. They played Mozart - Piano Concierto 24 and Symphony 41 ... you can genuinely take my word for it b/c I actually didn't fall asleep! It comes in 3 movements, and Robert Levin played a beautiful rendition on the grand piano.. I almost cried at one point - it felt like the keys were jus stroking my emotions. But favourite part isn't watching the different instruments move in union .. it's watching the conductor passionatly flinging himself into the ebb and flow of the piece. Peter Oundijan was a pleasure to watch - he made me think of Fantasia when Mickey was summoning all the water and brooms ... hope that's not too blasphemous!

Here's a snippet of the Piano Concierto 24 ...

And take a listen to Symphony 41 ....

Next on my list .. opera! :P

:((

Oh my goodness .. I miss Japan so much. Here's what really did it to me last night.

Thank god I spoke to a friend I met in Japan, but actually lives in the town next to mine - she found an okinomiyaki place downtown so I can satisfy at the very least, the Japanese food craving in me!

For those of you who don't know what Okinomiyaki is - unbelievable fried vegetable goodness with special sauce. Mayo optional in my option.

I miss traveling in general!!!! I am sick of the cold - I need to get a move on and go somewhere else ... I am getting Canadian Cabin Fever (if they don't have that in the medical books - i will look about getting it instated)

So where to next you ask? hummm ... Italy? Spain? France? Or should I go back to Asia ... I'm thinking anywhere in Europe .. guess I'm going to forego that career and live the life of a gypsy for a likkle bit more .... when I look into the real life options I'll update unnu.

Memoirs of a newly reformed carnivore ..

So I stopped eating meat, and I don't miss it at all. It's challenging because I have to get my nutrients from all different sources, namely veggies and fruits, and protein from nuts etc ... but I'm loving it. No missing the big hambuger in the sky!
